Edil Toys was a short-lived Italian manufacturer of 1/43rd scale diecast model cars, established in Milan in 1966. Its products were intended to compete with Mebetoys, Politoys and Mercury, the three leading diecast brands in Italy at that time. The models are very detailed for the time and feature many opening parts, but were more expensive than their competitors. The company ceased production within two years after having released just 13 different models, most of them contemporary Italian cars. Some of the moulds were then sold to Turkey where simplified versions of the models were produced under the Meboto and Orfey brand names.
